We believe your return to Accra is a homecoming, and every homecoming deserves a proper welcome. During your Obaake Dining Experience, you will have the opportunity to take part in our Heritage Naming Ceremony.
Here is how it works:
01The Draw
You will be presented with a traditional brass bowl filled with folded parchment sheets. Inside each sheet is a traditional Ghanaian local name and its meaning. You pick one at random.
02The Ceremony
Whatever name you draw becomes yours for the night. Our staff and your table will lead a short, joyful toast and naming acknowledgement to officially welcome you.
03The Keepsake
To seal the experience, you will be gifted a complimentary, custom-crafted bracelet inscribed with your newly chosen name to take home as a permanent reminder of your Detty December.
